Yes, there's only one more delay before we get back to our regular schedule, and it's this week. The comics will be coming in on Thursday, but this should be the last week of that nonsense. Unless the MLK holiday will cause a delay. So, um, don't really take this for gospel. Don't fret, though, if you're planning on coming in on Wednesday but are disappointed there are no new comics! Okay, the Warhammer people already know whether or not it's worthwhile to buy this, so I'm going to talk to another segment of our customer base: the D&D gamer. It might seem weird that I would be talking to D&D gamers about what is clearly a Warhammer Fantasty Battles product, but there's actually a good reason for a D&D player to pick this up: these miniatures are really customizable and the bases are perfectly sized for the standard D&D square grid maps. You can truly put together a character that isn't just the same assembly-line piece that everyone else has. Also, a GM could field a whole bunch of unique human NPCs with the miniatures in these sets. Remember Dogma? It was a pretty cool movie about how Kevin Smith was catholic, or something. Also, about the commercialization of religion. Well, both of those topics are potentially divisive, so here's a figure of a smiling happy Jesus. So, at what point does it become completely absurd that the thing he was making fun of being sold is now actual merchandise being sold by the guy making fun of said commercialization? Does any of this make one damn bit of sense? I just got up and did something about halfway through one of those sentences, and I seriously cannot bring myself to care enough to reread this rambling mess.

This news is so shocking that we are now developing a weekly section where we announce comic delays, so you can better know when your favorite books are coming out. Or when the next delay announcement will be, whatever. We'll also include other schedule announcements, like different products coming back in stock, second printings, and the like. But this is the comic industry, and we all know which type of announcment we will see the most.

One entry. Huh. I guess you guys might have been demoralized by me pretty much openly stating that Perry Morrison's entries were better than yours every single time. What's funny is that this week is actually Perry's weakest entry in recent memory. Here, take a look:
What could Dick Clark do? He would probably just drop the new years eve ball on Vandal Savage, but Vandal would probably be reincarnated into a super strong guy. Dick would just run into his own grave and have a heart attack while Vandal would just walk to him slowly like The Terminator. Vandal Savage wins by reincarnation.
Not very good, I'm sorry to say, but because it was the only entry, it wins easily! There's something to be said for perseverance. Hey, what do you know, Perry Morrison wins the random roll to decide the winner of the $10 Gift Certificate! That's right, Perry Morrison now has ten free dollars of Fanboy play money just for giving it the old college try each week! Now, this is the second time Perry's won the gift certificate, so in the interest of fairness, I'm going to exclude him from the victory circle for next month's Fanboy Fights. I still look forward to his entries and will probably publish them, but I'm afraid he can't win the grand prize for the month. I mean, if Ernest Hemingway were a regular contributor to the Fanboy Fights (...FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE! I think. Let me check wikipedia. Okay, yeah, he died 45 years ago. Also, I just revealed myself to be incredibly ignorant. Still...FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!) I would probably eliminate him from contention so some other people could win once in a while.
